EIGENSTATE 2018 TYPEFACE

EIGENSTATE 2018 is retooled & re-issued from the early ‘90s version. It features the “curved” letterforms. The original font had 4 different designs in the uppercase, lowercase and shift- and shift+option- keystrokes. In the coming months these other three designs will become available in a four-weight type family package. This font has been featured as the logotype for the band N SYNC, many feature films, as well as a redesigned version for the XBOX MechAssault video game series.

He has been labeled – not self-described – as the godfather of grunge typography in an advertisement for RayGun Fonts in 1993 by type design co-hort Bill Nelson.

His work has been featured in HOW, IdN, Emigre, and I.D. design magazines; GRAPHIS, Type In Motion, Graphic Design In America and Faces On The Edge: Type In The Digital Age design publications and annuals; and on exhibit at the AIGA/Northwest Design Awards Show, the Royal Academy of Art/London and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum/New York.
